Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher for a good-rated, 2-form entry school located in Redbridge, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time position. The school offers a supportive and inclusive environment with a strong focus on academic and personal development. Interviews will be held as soon as possible. Year 1 Teacher Role Start Date: September 2025 Location: Redbridge Working Hours: Full-Time Contract Type: Permanent The School This good-rated, 2-form entry school in Redbridge is dedicated to providing an engaging and enriching educational experience for all students. The leadership team is supportive, and collaboration is encouraged across the school community. The school is easily accessible via excellent transport links, and parking is available for staff. Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of Year 1 students. Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love for learning. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development. Encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and develop their critical thinking skills. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum delivery. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required. Year 1 Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly in Year 1. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs. A team-oriented approach with a passion for creating an inclusive learning environment. Commitment to continuous professional development and best practices in teaching.
