Job description
Start Date: January 2026 Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire About the Role: A popular Ofsted ‘Good’ school in Stevenage is seeking a talented and energetic PE Teacher to join their thriving department. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026, offering the chance to teach PE across KS3–KS5 while contributing to an active and inclusive school community. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, and discipline. • Organise extracurricular clubs, sports fixtures, and inter-school competitions. • Monitor student progress and motivate learners to reach their potential. • Contribute to the school’s strong sports and wellbeing ethos. About the School: This 11–18 mixed secondary school educates approximately 1,300 students , including a growing Sixth Form of 350. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted , it has a reputation for excellent pastoral care and a broad, balanced curriculum. The school boasts modern sports facilities, including a large gym, fitness suite, and multi-use games area.
