Psychology Teacher – Exciting Opportunity in Crawley, West Sussex! Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher seeking a rewarding role in a secondary school setting? A dynamic secondary school in Crawley, West Sussex, is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Psychology Teacher to join their thriving Social Sciences/Psychology department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Psychology Teacher to inspire students and contribute to a school with a strong commitment to academic excellence. The appointed Psychology Teacher will play a crucial role in fostering students' critical thinking and understanding of the human mind and behaviour. Job Title: Psychology Teacher Location: Crawley, West Sussex (Specific school details will be provided to shortlisted candidates only) Department: Social Sciences Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent What We're Looking For: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of Psychology and a commitment to providing high-quality education. The ideal candidate will be: A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent). Experienced in teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (A-Level Psychology). Passionate about Psychology and able to inspire students of all abilities. An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills. Committed to raising student achievement and fostering critical thinking, research skills, and an understanding of psychological concepts. A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community. Dedicated to their own professional development. An outstanding Psychology Teacher Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Psychology lessons across the relevant Key Stages. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical discussion, research, and analysis within Psychology. Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department and across the school. Contribute to the development of the Psychology curriculum. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
