About the Role A renowned Independent girls' school in Haringey is seeking a passionate History Teacher to join their thriving department. This part-time, permanent role offers an exceptional opportunity to teach History up to KS4, igniting a passion for the past and developing critical thinking skills in students. The History department is well-resourced, providing students with access to a rich library, digital resources, and opportunities for historical site visits. Teachers benefit from small class sizes, personalised CPD, and an inspiring faculty culture. Responsibilities Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across KS3 and KS4. Guide students through GCSE History coursework and exam preparation. Incorporate diverse historical perspectives and source analysis into lessons. Work alongside the department to enhance the History curriculum with contemporary research. Support extracurricular activities such as historical debates, museum visits, and research projects. Develop and manage historical research projects. Organize and lead historical site visits. Maintain and manage History department resources and equipment. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. Contribute to the development and implementation of History department policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience Degree in History or a related field. PGCE or QTS. Experience teaching History up to KS4. Ability to develop creative and stimulating lesson plans.
