Job description
Are you currently seeking an exciting role as a DT Technician in a supportive secondary school in Reading starting ASAP? Are you a practical, organised, and skilled individual who enjoys supporting hands-on learning and wants to be part of a collaborative school environment? • DT Technician Role • Reading • Full-time position • ASAP start • Competitive salary (dependent on experience) DT Technician You will work within a well-equipped Design & Technology department supporting lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5 support). Your role will include preparing materials, maintaining tools and machinery, and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed. The school provides a supportive environment where every staff member is valued and encouraged to develop professionally. Key Responsibilities • Preparing materials and equipment for practical DT lessons • Maintaining and servicing tools, machinery, and workshop spaces • Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations • Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory records School Information The school is well-regarded for academic achievement, positive behaviour, and a collaborative working culture.
