SEN Teacher – Fantastic Secondary School – Barking Role: SEN Teacher Nature: Full-Time, Permanent Start: April 2025 Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance A supportive secondary school in Barking is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an inclusive environment, supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), moderate learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a supportive secondary school in Barking Teach SEN students across different key stages, ensuring they have access to a tailored and engaging curriculum Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students with SEN, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and other professionals to create and implement personalized learning plans for students Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted interventions where needed to ensure success Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where students feel valued and motivated Help students develop essential life skills, independence, and self-confidence Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching SEN students at secondary level, ideally in a mainstream school or SEN setting A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching students with additional needs Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and a commitment to providing inclusive education Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
