Job description
Are you a reflective Reception Teacher seeking a Part-Time post from January 2026? A welcoming Surbiton primary is looking for a Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team on a Part-Time basis. The Reception Teacher will take part in planning ahead of January 2026, attend induction during January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as a Part-Time Reception Teacher. *** Reception Teacher Surbiton *** Reception Teacher January 2026 start *** Reception Teacher Part-Time opportunity The Reception Teacher role As the Reception Teacher you will lead play-rich continuous provision, deliver high-quality phonics and early maths, and assess children against the Early Learning Goals. The Reception Teacher will plan and deliver adult-led sessions, support language development and run parent workshops that begin preparation prior to January 2026 and continue after January 2026. This Part-Time Reception Teacher post provides protected planning time and time for collaborative planning with the EYFS team from January 2026. Why this Part-Time Reception Teacher post? Working as a Part-Time Reception Teacher enables sustainable workload with concentrated high-impact teaching windows. The Reception Teacher will attend induction in January 2026, receive coaching starting January 2026 and have part-time hours that still allow meaningful professional development opportunities after January 2026. Person specification — Reception Teacher We are seeking a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS (or equivalent), a secure understanding of early years pedagogy and excellent interpersonal skills. The Reception Teacher must be available for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 in a Part-Time capacity.
