Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive and vibrant primary school in Redbridge starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and challenge Year 2 students, helping them build the foundation for their future learning in a nurturing and dynamic environment. The Role Start Date: September 2025 Location: Redbridge Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent The School Located in the heart of Redbridge, this inclusive and high-achieving primary school is known for its commitment to providing an engaging learning environment where students thrive. The school values creativity, collaboration, and inclusion, and the leadership team fosters a supportive atmosphere for both students and staff. Professional development is a key focus, with opportunities to grow and innovate as a teacher. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 2 students in line with the National Curriculum. Develop student’s key literacy and numeracy skills, preparing them for their transition to Key Stage 2. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and ready to learn. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and deliver an outstanding curriculum. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and school activities. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching Year 2 or in lower Key Stage 2. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods for Key Stage 1. Ability to adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of students. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A passion for creating an engaging, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
