Science Teacher (ECT) | Redbridge | September 2026 Start Role: Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics Specialist) Location: London Borough of Redbridge (Ilford / Seven Kings / Wanstead) Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: September 2026 Salary: MPS1 – MPS3 (Outer London) + Potential July Start & Retention Bonus Are you a trainee Science teacher looking for a school that values innovation, practical-led learning, and high-quality mentorship? Wayman Education is seeking a passionate Science ECT to join a high-performing Science faculty in Redbridge for September 2026. Whether your specialty is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, this school offers a bespoke induction programme designed to help you master classroom management and high-level practical delivery. The Role This position is tailored for a New Entrant looking to build a strong foundation in a department known for its academic excellence. Mentorship & Support: Benefit from a dedicated Subject Mentor and a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) focused on your professional wellbeing. Practical Excellence: Work in modern, state-of-the-art laboratories with full support from an experienced Science Technician team. Curriculum Delivery: Teach General Science across KS3 and your subject specialty at KS4, with the opportunity to observe and assist in A-Level classes. Reduced Timetable: As an ECT, you will have a protected 10% reduction in your timetable to focus on your induction and planning. The Candidate Teacher Training: Currently completing a PGCE, Schools Direct, or equivalent training with QTS expected by Summer 2026. Subject Passion: A degree in a Science-based discipline and a desire to make STEM subjects accessible to all learners. Safety First: A strong understanding of lab safety protocols and a commitment to delivering safe, engaging practical lessons.
