Job description
We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in the Norwich area that is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher (ECT) to join their department from January . This is a full-time, permanent role , offering an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to begin their career in a genuinely supportive environment. The Role You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4 , delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that help students build strong scientific knowledge and practical understanding. The department operates with shared resources, clear schemes of work, and a collaborative approach to planning and assessment, allowing ECTs to focus on developing confident classroom practice. As an ECT, you will benefit from a structured induction programme , reduced timetable, and regular mentoring from experienced Science teachers. Support is consistent and practical rather than box-ticking. School Information This school is known for its positive learning culture, good behaviour, and supportive leadership team . ECT development is taken seriously, and staff are given time to settle in and grow. What the School is Looking For A Science ECT with QTS (or pending QTS) A degree in a Science-related subject Enthusiasm for teaching and learning A reflective and proactive approach to development Strong professional values and commitment to students Salary Paid on MPS1 , in line with the ECT framework.
