Job description
A Highly Regarded co-educational independent school in Barnet, North London, seeks a permanent Psychology Teacher starting January 2026. Full-time is preferred, but strong candidates seeking part-time will be considered. This superb opportunity is with an all-through school (2-18) known for its commitment to academic excellence and character development. The successful Psychology Teacher will primarily focus on teaching the subject at A-Level. Responsibilities Deliver highly effective Psychology lessons at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) with high standards, inspiring intellectual curiosity and research skills. Utilise a high-challenge, high-support approach to ensure exceptional student outcomes. Support students with university applications for competitive degree courses. Maintain a focus on raising the attainment of every student as a dedicated Psychology Teacher. Work collaboratively to uphold the school's core values of ambition, excellence, and enquiry. Requirements QTS or equivalent and excellent subject knowledge in Psychology. Strong teaching skills with proven ability to build positive relationships. Proven ability to teach Psychology Teacher subjects effectively at A-Level is required.
