Job description
ECT of Business/Economics – Vocational & Academic Pathways Mentoring – Manchester A dynamic secondary school in Manchester is seeking an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Business/Economics to join their highly collaborative Social Sciences department from January 2026. ECT of Business/Economics required from January 2026. Manchester-based school with strong links to local commerce and universities. Seeking an enthusiastic ECT committed to teaching both academic Economics and vocational Business subjects. You will teach across KS4 and KS5, covering both GCSE and A-Level courses. The role is designed to maximize your exposure to different curriculum pathways, supported by an experienced mentor with specialist knowledge. Experience and Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) or expected QTS by January 2026. Relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field. Strong subject knowledge across GCSE and A-Level. Commitment to guiding students through both academic and vocational pathways. School Information The Business department is high-achieving and operates a collaborative planning model, minimizing the preparation burden for ECTs. This allows you to focus on developing excellent classroom practice, supported by an experienced mentor who is a recognized specialist in economic theory.
