Job description
Music Teacher (ECT) – Independent Secondary School, Croydon Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School information: This is a 11 to 18 well-established independent secondary school in Croydon with a strong reputation for academic excellence and creative enrichment. The school fosters a supportive and ambitious learning environment where students are encouraged to explore their talents and achieve their full potential. The curriculum is broad and forward-thinking, with music playing a central role in the cultural life of the school. Staff benefit from small class sizes, excellent resources and a comprehensive ECT support programme delivered by experienced mentors and senior leaders. Music Department: The music department is exceptionally well resourced, featuring practice rooms, recording equipment and performance spaces. Students are encouraged to develop both practical and theoretical skills through ensemble work, composition and performance. The department supports a wide range of extracurricular activities, including choirs, bands and concerts.
