Job description
  • Maths Teacher required to work on a full-time position from January 2026 • Mixed 11–18 secondary college with thriving Sixth Form in Weymouth • Maths Teacher to join a vibrant and well-resourced Mathematics department Our client is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Maths Teacher to join a high-performing secondary college offering education from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. The successful teacher will deliver engaging Maths lessons across GCSE and A-Level , working closely within a forward-thinking department led by an experienced and supportive Head of Mathematics. School Information This 11–18 secondary college is consistently oversubscribed, with over 1,200 students on roll and an outstanding reputation across Dorset. The school offers a broad and academically rigorous curriculum, with exceptional provision in Mathematics. Maths is a core and highly valued subject , with strong student outcomes and excellent progression to university courses in mathematics, engineering, economics, and related disciplines. The department benefits from modern, well-equipped classrooms and access to interactive learning technology that enhances problem-solving and analytical skills. Staff collaborate closely to create engaging lessons, and students are encouraged to apply their mathematical knowledge through competitions, enrichment projects, and STEM initiatives. In 2023, 85% of students achieved grades 9–4 in English and 83% in Maths , reflecting the school’s academic strength and commitment to excellence. With a supportive leadership team and a focus on both personal development and academic achievement, the college provides a nurturing yet ambitious environment for staff and students alike.
