Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teacher for a good-rated, 2-form entry school located in Newham, starting September 2025. This is a full-time position. The school offers a supportive and inclusive environment, focusing on both academic achievement and personal development. Interviews will be held as soon as possible. KS1 Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of KS1 students. Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love of learning. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development. Support students in developing their independent learning skills and encourage them to take responsibility for their learning. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum planning and delivery. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them updated on student progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required. KS1 Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Key Stage 1. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs. A team-oriented approach with a commitment to creating an inclusive classroom environment. Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
