Job description
A prestigious, Outstanding Ofsted-rated Secondary School and Sixth Form in Camden, Central London, known for its humanities excellence, is seeking an ECT of History for a permanent, full-time position, starting January 2026. Compensation & Contract Job Title: ECT of History Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Start Date: January 2026 Salary: Paid on the Inner London Teachers' Pay Scales (M1), with comprehensive induction benefits. The Role The successful ECT of History will teach a rigorous History curriculum across Key Stages 3 and GCSE. The ECT of History will benefit from a robust induction program, including a reduced timetable and weekly structured mentorship. This role provides exceptional opportunities to develop high-level pedagogical skills in a challenging yet supportive environment. The ECT of History will contribute to the department’s success in securing excellent academic progress. Requirements An outstanding academic background in History (minimum 2:1 degree) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Passionate about fostering intellectual debate and critical analysis in students.
