This may be the English Teacher opportunity you’ve been looking for… A highly respected Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic English Teacher to join its supportive and specialist teaching team. Key Details English Teacher (SEN) required Full-time, permanent position starting as soon as possible Well-regarded SEN school in Southend-on-Sea Teach English across a range of abilities, adapting learning for pupils with additional needs (including ASD, SEMH, and/or complex learning needs) The School This is a forward-thinking and inclusive SEN school in Southend-on-Sea that places pupil wellbeing, individual progress, and meaningful learning at the heart of everything it does. The English department plays a vital role in supporting literacy, communication, and confidence, helping pupils access the wider curriculum and achieve personal success. Location & Salary Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex Start Date: ASAP Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience English Teacher – Experience & Qualifications Degree in English or a closely related subject QTS (e.g. PGCE, SCITT) Experience teaching English, ideally within an SEN or inclusive setting Strong understanding of adaptive teaching strategies and differentiated curriculum delivery Legal right to work in the UK Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs and promoting inclusive education Application If you are a motivated and caring English Teacher seeking a rewarding role within a supportive SEN environment, we would love to hear from you.
