Job description
School Status & Location Sector: Brand New Mixed Secondary Academy (Innovation and Excellence Campus). Location: Kent Area (Coastal Town, specific location confidential). Start Date: Full-time role commencing ASAP (Immediate start required); Fixed-Term Temporary contract. The Opportunity & School Profile This brand-new secondary academy provides a high-quality, internationally-influenced academic curriculum. The Principal maintains an unapologetic commitment to students, fostering a strong culture of academic achievement and respect. The school integrates both traditional and digital approaches to learning and seeks a Humanities teacher who can utilize these methods effectively. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Curriculum Cartographer: Instructing Geography and History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE). Global Explorer: Driving high attainment by delivering an internationally-influenced curriculum that deepens students' understanding of place, context, and global perspectives. Inquiry Igniter: Encouraging students to ask questions, explore ideas, and challenge perspectives, fostering curiosity and critical thinking in both subjects. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Relevant Degree in History, Geography, or a related Humanities subject, and QTS. Experience teaching both subjects to KS4 is vital. Salary: Excellent salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS) for the duration of the temporary contract. Support: Opportunity to shape the curriculum and culture of a brand-new academy, supported by a committed Principal and dedicated staff team.
