Job description
Are you an enthusiastic and driven Psychology Teacher seeking an exciting new opportunity in a high-achieving and supportive school? A fantastic school in Derby is looking to appoint a committed Psychology Teacher to join their successful Social Sciences department. This is a full-time, permanent role starting in September , teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 . The school welcomes both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a passion for inspiring students. Psychology Teacher – The Role Position: Psychology Teacher Location: Derby Start Date: September Contract: Full-time, Permanent Teaching: Psychology to KS4 and KS5 Salary: MPS1 – UPS3 (Dependent on experience) As a Psychology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to GCSE and A-Level students, fostering critical thinking, and supporting academic success. You will also play a key role in curriculum planning and departmental enrichment activities. About the School The school is a well-established secondary with a strong academic reputation and a supportive learning environment. The leadership team is committed to staff development and provides excellent CPD opportunities. Students are ambitious, well-behaved, and eager to learn. The Social Sciences department is thriving and collaborative, with a record of outstanding results at KS5. What We’re Looking For A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject PGCE and QTS Experience teaching Psychology at KS4 and KS5 (including placements) A passion for Psychology and a dedication to student achievement Excellent classroom management and communication skills Salary The salary for this Psychology Teacher role will be paid to scale on a permanent contract (MPS/UPS).
