Job description
A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Halesowen is looking to appoint a motivated English ECT to join its supportive English department from January 2026 . The Role You will teach English across KS3 and KS4 , contributing to a curriculum that emphasises reading fluency, vocabulary development and structured writing. The department works collaboratively, sharing resources and planning to ensure consistency and reduce workload. ECT Development You will benefit from: Reduced timetable and phased responsibility Weekly mentoring with an experienced English teacher Opportunities to observe strong practice across the department Structured CPD aligned with ECT statutory requirements The School This Good school has a calm, purposeful learning environment and clear routines that support positive behaviour.
