Humanities Teacher – SEN School – Greenwich – April Start 📍 Location: Greenwich 📅 Start Date: April 2025 📄 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent 💰 Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference? A specialist SEN school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated educator to join their team in April. This is an exciting opportunity to teach History, Geography, and related subjects to students with diverse learning needs in a supportive and inclusive environment. Your Role: 🔹 Deliver engaging and accessible Humanities lessons tailored to students’ individual needs. 🔹 Use creative and differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles. 🔹 Foster a positive, structured classroom environment where students feel safe and encouraged. 🔹 Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and therapists to provide a holistic education. 🔹 Monitor and track student progress, providing individualised support where needed. 🔹 Encourage students’ critical thinking, curiosity, and independence through Humanities subjects. What We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ✅ Experience teaching Humanities (History, Geography, or RE), ideally in an SEN setting. ✅ Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and differentiation techniques. ✅ A patient, adaptable, and inspiring teaching approach. ✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
