Job description
Role Category & Location Sector: Successful Primary School. Borough: Enfield (England). Start Date: ASAP Start, Permanent, Full-Time. The Opportunity & Role Profile This successful Enfield primary school is recruiting a strategic School Business Manager. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to manage the school’s non-teaching functions, including finance, procurement, and health and safety. Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope Financial Oversight: Managing the school budget, performing long-term financial planning, and ensuring rigorous audit compliance. Resource Management: Leading the administrative and premises teams to ensure the school operates efficiently and stays within budget. Strategic Procurement: Negotiating contracts with external suppliers to ensure best value for money for the school’s resources. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Strong background in finance or business management (CSBM/DSBM qualified preferred). Previous experience in school business management is highly desirable. Salary: Excellent salary paid on the local government scale (£45,000–£55,000 per annum). Support: A dedicated administrative team and a collaborative, forward-thinking leadership environment.
