Job description
Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Physical Education committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and developing students' sporting potential? We are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join our successful PE department in a modern academy in Northolt with excellent sports facilities. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025. About the School: Our academy is a vibrant and ambitious learning community where students are encouraged to strive for excellence in all areas, including sports and physical activity. We have a strong focus on providing a high-quality education that prepares our students for success in further education and the workplace. We offer a wide range of sporting opportunities, including competitive teams, extracurricular clubs, and access to excellent facilities, such as a sports hall, gymnasium, and playing fields. About the PE Department: The Physical Education department is a collaborative and passionate team with a shared commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and developing students' physical and mental well-being. We offer a diverse and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of sports and physical activities. We encourage students to participate in competitive sports, develop their leadership skills, and embrace a lifelong love of physical activity. About the Role: Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons. Coach school sports teams. Organize and participate in sports competitions and events. Promote healthy lifestyles and physical fitness. Contribute to the department's development. Work collaboratively with colleagues. Participate in professional development. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education. Passion for sports and coaching. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students. Understanding of the National Curriculum for PE. Commitment to promoting sports and healthy living.
