Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a forward-thinking school committed to innovative teaching and student-centered learning. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging, thought-provoking lessons that foster a love for literature, language, and communication. At this school, English is not just a subject—it’s a way to explore ideas, express creativity, and engage with the world. The school embraces a variety of teaching methods, integrating drama, film, digital media, and real-world experiences into the curriculum to create a rich and dynamic learning environment. The Role The English Teacher will: Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3-5, encouraging a love for literature, language, and creative expression. Use creative teaching methods, such as storytelling, drama, and interactive projects, to make lessons come alive. Inspire students to communicate confidently, both in writing and through verbal expression, in real-world contexts. Contribute to the wider school community by leading extracurricular activities such as creative writing clubs, drama productions, and literary events. The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for a qualified English Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) who: Has a genuine passion for literature, language, and innovative teaching. Is skilled in using creative and interactive approaches to engage and inspire students. Can adapt lessons to support and challenge learners of all abilities, ensuring each student can achieve their potential. Works well as part of a team and is eager to contribute to the school’s creative and cultural initiatives. Why Join This School?
