Job description
Job Description: Are you a Music ECT excited to inspire students through performance and creativity? A supportive secondary school in Beverley is seeking a full-time Music Teacher from January 2026. This position is ideal for an Early Career Teacher eager to make their mark. Location: Beverley, East Yorkshire Start Date: January 2026 Salary: Paid on MPS (M1) with full ECT support About the School: The school is known for its thriving arts faculty and commitment to extracurricular enrichment. Facilities include a recording studio, practice rooms, and a performance hall. Why This Role is Ideal for You: • Teach Music across KS3 and KS4 (with scope for KS5) • Lead ensembles, choirs, and performance events • Work in a department that nurtures young teachers and creative learning Your Role: • Plan and deliver interactive lessons in performance, theory, and composition • Support students preparing for performances and exams • Encourage participation in musical groups and clubs • Receive structured support from an ECT mentor The Ideal Candidate Will: • Be a qualified (or qualifying) Music Teacher with QTS • Be confident in teaching both practical and theoretical Music • Have experience from school placements or other educational settings • Have the legal right to work in the UK How to Apply: To apply for this Music ECT role in Beverley, East Yorkshire, please submit your CV today.
