Job description
Nursery Teacher – Primary School, Hillingdon Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (1 Year Maternity Cover) We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join our primary school in Hillingdon on a one-year maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the early years of children’s education within a supportive and inclusive school community. Our school is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where all children can flourish. We focus on fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning from the very start of a child’s educational journey. You will work as part of a dedicated team that values collaboration, creativity, and high-quality teaching. The Role The successful candidate will: Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for Nursery-aged children. Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of all pupils. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child’s individual needs. Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary. Candidate Profile We are looking for a teacher who: Holds QTS or equivalent early years teaching qualifications. Has experience teaching in a Nursery or Early Years setting. Demonstrates excellent classroom management and safeguarding awareness. Is passionate about early years education and fostering a love of learning.
