Your Role as a Science Teacher: 🔹 Deliver high-quality science lessons to students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, ensuring the curriculum is accessible and engaging. 🔹 Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or behavioural challenges. 🔹 Provide individual support and guidance to help students develop their knowledge and understanding of science. 🔹 Support the development of practical skills in science, fostering a hands-on and interactive approach to learning. 🔹 Track and monitor student progress , identifying areas of improvement and implementing effective interventions. 🔹 Build positive relationships with students, offering encouragement and support to help them stay engaged and motivated. 🔹 Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of science lessons across the school, contributing to the broader curriculum. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Science (or equivalent). ✅ Experience teaching science in a secondary setting (experience in an AP or SEN setting is a plus). ✅ A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching students with a range of needs and abilities. ✅ Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. ✅ A genuine passion for teaching science and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
