Job description
We are seeking a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer with a mechanical focus to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring that mechanical systems and components meet the highest standards of quality and compliance throughout the construction phase. Key Responsibilities Conduct inspections and quality checks on mechanical installations and components. Review and verify documentation, welding records, and material certificates. Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Liaise with contractors and project teams to resolve quality issues. Prepare and maintain QA/QC reports and records. Support audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Qualifications & Experience CSWIP 3.1 or PCN Level 2 certification (mandatory). Proven experience in QA/QC within mechanical engineering, ideally in nuclear or large-scale infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of welding processes, NDT, and mechanical systems. Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to secure BPSS security clearance. Desirable Experience working on nuclear licensed sites. Knowledge of E quality systems and procedures. Additional NDT or welding qualifications.
