Job description
Drive excellence and innovation in Geography at our leading independent school in Hackney! Head of Department role. Our academically rigorous independent school in Hackney is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Geography. You will be responsible for leading the department in delivering outstanding teaching, fostering a culture of inquiry, and ensuring students achieve their full potential in Geography. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of a high-achieving Geography curriculum. Inspire and motivate both students and staff within the Geography department. Implement effective assessment strategies and use data to inform teaching and learning. Oversee fieldwork and enrichment opportunities to enhance student engagement. Manage departmental resources effectively. Contribute to the school's strategic aims and ethos. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
