Account Manager – Industrial & Logistics Recruitment
Location: Worcester
Salary: £28–34k
Hours: 8:30am–5:00pm
We are looking for a motivated Account Manager to join our Industrial & Logistics recruitment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing strong relationships with our existing clients, while ensuring we consistently deliver high-quality temporary and permanent workers to meet their staffing requirements.
This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and respond quickly to changing requirements.
Unlike Recruitment Consultant positions, this role is service-led rather than sales-driven.
Our Account Managers are dedicated to supporting and servicing an established network of existing customers. The focus is on delivering an exceptional recruitment experience, building long-term partnerships, and ensuring customer requirements are fulfilled quickly, accurately and professionally.
You will not be expected to carry out cold business development or high-pressure sales activity. Success in this role comes from your ability to manage relationships, think operationally, respond at pace, and consistently deliver outstanding service to both clients and candidates.
Key Responsibilities
-
Build strong day-to-day relationships with clients, understanding their operational needs and responding quickly to changing or urgent staffing requirements.
-
Manage high volumes of temporary and ad-hoc bookings across Industrial & Logistics sectors, often within tight timeframes, ensuring service levels are maintained at all times.
-
Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service to both clients and workers, recognising that long-term partnerships are built on reliability, communication and trust.
-
Attend daily morning meetings to provide updates on client requirements, staffing levels and service delivery priorities.
-
Take ownership of worker availability and engagement, ensuring workers are well briefed, supported and feel valued as part of the Workforce team.
-
Attend service review meetings with customers to discuss performance, identify improvements and strengthen long-term relationships.
-
Write and place professional job adverts and utilise marketing tools to attract suitable candidates.
-
Source, qualify and manage candidate relationships within your specialist area, including referencing and compliance checks.
-
Handle client and candidate queries with confidence and professionalism, taking ownership and resolving issues quickly.
-
Provide out-of-hours mobile support and participate in on-call rota duties to ensure customer requirements are met when required.
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise service delivery and identify commercial opportunities within existing accounts.
-
Visit customer sites to maintain service standards, understand operational requirements and strengthen partnerships.
-
Use in-house systems effectively to generate candidates, manage vacancies and control bookings.
-
Complete payroll processes and investigate payroll queries where required.
-
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from vacancy intake through to successful placement and ongoing aftercare.
-
Maintain strong relationships with active temporary workers and placements, ensuring consistent communication and service quality.
-
Monitor fulfilment, attendance and performance levels, identifying issues early and putting solutions in place with the client and internal team.
You’ll enjoy this role if you:
-
Take pride in building long-term relationships rather than chasing quick wins.
-
Stay calm and solutions-focused when priorities change at short notice.
-
Understand the importance of speed and accuracy when managing last-minute staffing requirements.
-
Communicate clearly and professionally with both customers and candidates.
-
Enjoy being part of a supportive, high-performing team that works together to deliver exceptional service.
-
Take ownership and genuinely care about doing the right thing for customers and candidates.
-
Enjoy working in a busy environment where no two days are exactly the same.
This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility, thrives in a busy environment, and takes satisfaction from knowing their work helps keep customers operating successfully every day.
What We’re Looking For
-
Proven recruitment experience, ideally within the Industrial, Logistics, Manufacturing or Warehousing sectors.
-
Strong account management skills with a genuine focus on customer service and relationship building.
-
Experience managing temporary workers and high-volume recruitment would be advantageous.
-
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-moving, reactive environment where priorities can change quickly.
-
Comfortable managing high volumes of last-minute requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
-
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
-
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong sense of ownership.
-
Understanding of Industrial & Logistics recruitment processes and compliance is desirable.
-
Good knowledge of temporary workforce management, including attendance, bookings and payroll, would be advantageous.
What’s in It for You?
-
Salary increases linked to 6-monthly objectives
-
Every birthday is a holiday
-
25 days holiday rising to 28 days after 3 years’ service, plus bank holidays
-
Supportive and dynamic team environment
-
Clear progression and career development opportunities
-
Access to leading recruitment tools and technology
-
Employee discount rewards portal
-
Team socials and events throughout the year, including treasure hunts, murder mystery events, summer parties, branch socials and Christmas celebrations
