IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is working in partnership with Honeywell in Yeovil, Somerset and have opportunities for an Electrical Engineer to work on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible.
Key Duties:Support end to end electronics design life cycle, from concept and requirements through production and in service support.* Define and document electronics requirements, design plans, and specifications.* Design analogue and digital circuits, progressing concepts through to complete PCB layouts and full manufacturing drawing packs.* Produce all supporting design, verification, and test documentation required for certification and manufacturing.* Participate in and contribute to design reviews, clearly communicating technical content to both technical and non technical stakeholders.* Ensure compliance with all relevant quality processes, standards, and regulatory requirements.* Work closely with internal manufacturing teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth new product introduction, including PCB build, assembly, test, and system integration.* Provide expert technical support for manufacturing issues and in service investigations across the product range.
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.* 3+ years of electronics design experience within aerospace or another highly regulated sector (e.g., nuclear, rail).* Strong understanding of electronics design principles and industry best practices.* Proficient in low power digital circuit design.* Solid understanding of low frequency analogue interface design.* Experience using industry standard ECAD tools (Mentor Graphics preferred).* Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFT (Design for Test) methodologies.* Familiarity with EMC design and qualification requirements.* Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.* Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Competitive pay rate of £72 per hour - Depending on experience
Standard core hours: 09:00-16:00 Monday-Thursday, 09:00-12:00 on Friday, with some flexibility.
