A welcoming and community-focused secondary school in Leicester is seeking a confident and personable School Receptionist to join their front office team. This is a full-time position available for an immediate start and is ideal for an organised individual who thrives in a busy people-facing environment.

The reception area is the heart of the school and plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations. Staff work collaboratively to maintain high standards of communication safeguarding and professionalism.

As the first point of contact for visitors parents and students you will represent the school with warmth and professionalism.
Key responsibilities include:
Greeting visitors and managing the reception area
Handling incoming calls and responding to enquiries
Managing visitor sign-in procedures in line with safeguarding policies
Supporting attendance processes and student sign-in/out
Assisting with general administrative duties
Liaising with teaching staff and senior leaders
You will need to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate excellent communication skills while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Previous receptionist or administrative experience (school experience desirable)
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office systems
Professional telephone manner and customer service skills
Excellent organisational ability
Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
A supportive and friendly office team
