Early Years Educator
Location: Sancton Wood Nursery
Reports to: Head of Nursey
Working Pattern: welcome applications for full-time or part-time roles
Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 6:00pm (with flexible early/late start or finish rota)
Salary: £14 per hour
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of young children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The Early Years Educator will help deliver high-quality childcare and education in line with the EYFS framework, encouraging children to reach their full potential through play and structured activities.
For trainees, the role also provides the opportunity to gain practical experience while working towards a recognised childcare qualification, developing the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in early years education.
About the Nursery
Our newly refurbished nursery is perfectly located near the train station, with convenient on-site bike and car parking. Sancton Wood Nursery is a nurturing, family-friendly environment supporting children aged 12 months to 4 years, and is celebrated for its outstanding approach to each child's social and emotional development.
Our spacious outdoor garden is a magical space for little explorers. With Forest School sessions, a large climbing frame, a water pump, and a sandpit, children have endless opportunities to develop physically, creatively, and socially in a safe and inspiring setting.
The nursery operates 48 weeks a year, closing at Christmas, Easter, and for two weeks in August. Staff also enjoy an additional 5 days' holiday plus public holidays that fall outside nursery closure periods.
