Location: Fodder – Great Yorkshire Foodhall. Department: Fodder – Kitchen (Front of House). Working Pattern: 40 hours per week (5 out of 7 operational days including weekends). Reporting to: Catering Manager. Fodder is an award-winning food hall and café celebrating the very best food and drink from Yorkshire. All profits support the charitable work of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
The Role
Working closely with the Catering Manager, you will help deliver outstanding food and exceptional customer service across the Fodder Kitchen (café) and Fodder Takeaway. This is a hands-on role leading the front of house team, motivating staff, and ensuring every customer leaves happy. You will support the smooth day-to-day running of the café, build strong relationships with the kitchen team, and take responsibility for running shifts — sometimes independently. You’ll ensure high standards of service, food safety and hygiene, stock control, and team knowledge, while promoting Fodder’s ethos of showcasing Yorkshire producers.
You’ll be an ambassador for Fodder and the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, treating everyone with fairness, dignity and respect.
