Long-Term DT Teacher / Instructor – Leicester (LE5)
Start: After February Half Term | Ongoing
Pay: £168.80 – £232.58 per day (Qualified Teachers, DOE)

GSL Education Leicester is working in partnership with a ‘Good’ rated secondary school in Leicester (LE5) to appoint a Design & Technology Teacher / Instructor for a long-term, ongoing role starting after February half term.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well-led school with strong behaviour systems and a welcoming department. The role will involve teaching KS3 Design & Technology and Food Technology, alongside KS4 Product Design, delivering engaging, practical lessons that inspire creativity and technical skill.

The Role

• Teaching KS3 DT and Food Technology

• Teaching KS4 DT (Product Design)

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

• Maintaining high standards of health & safety within workshops and food rooms

• Working collaboratively with a dedicated DT department

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Has recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4 DT, including Food Technology

• Is confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons

• Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Holds a clear DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)
