Nursery – Cramond

Salary£14.24 PH (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Cramondnursery.

Bright Horizons Cramond Early Learning and Childcare is a purpose-built nursery nestled in the green outskirts of Edinburgh, offering high-quality care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery is known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and thoughtfully designed age-specific rooms that support children's emotional and developmental needs through the Nurture Approach. Staff are praised for their attentiveness and genuine care, creating a nurturing environment where every child is known and valued. The nursery features sensory play areas, outdoor learning spaces, and regular community outings to parks, beaches, and woodlands.

Conveniently located on Whitehouse Road, it benefits from strong commuter links, including nearby bus routes, making it easily accessible for those traveling from across Edinburgh

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the Scottish Curriculum through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What we’re looking for

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification

  • Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar

  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child

  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults

  • Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
