A new Procurement Consultant Renewable Energy role in Birmingham with a leading global consultancy organization in a specialist procurement division.The Procurement Consultant Renewable Energy will work alongside a highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services.This employer offers opportunities for individuals passionate about renewable energy and major capital programmes and projects to join their expanding procurement team.The Procurement Consultant will report to an established Renewable Energy Procurement lead. You will help clients deliver major capital programmes and projects for green technologies, contributing to sustainable energy solutions for customers and communities.Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their careers, skills, and knowledge by working with industry-leading organizations across the UK and globally, impacting large-scale flagship programmes and projects.Responsibilities and DutiesProvide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients.Manage and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programmes.Support the development of procurement services.Desired Skills and ExperienceExperience in technologies such as Hydro-Electric, Wind, Tidal, Waste-to-Energy, Hydrogen, Solar, Carbon Capture, Net Zero, Biofuels, Geothermal is desirable but not essential.Knowledge of embedding excellence into end-to-end procurement activities.Core skills in procurement, supply chain management, and contract management, including strategy, contract terms, negotiation, and supplier evaluation.Experience in procurement consulting from client, contractor, or professional services perspectives.Understanding of responsible sourcing areas like human rights, environment, health and safety, anti-bribery, and labor practices.Good knowledge of the UK and international energy sectors, technologies, and regulations is desirable.Qualifications/Educational RequirementsA degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement is preferred.Employing Company Overview and ProfileThis multidisciplinary consultancy is a fast-growing, innovative, and dynamic global business.The company values diversity and is committed to inclusion.
