Job description

Graduate Transport Planner (Land Development) – September 2026

Join to apply for the Graduate Transport Planner (Land Development) – September 2026 role at Pell Frischmann.

About Pell Frischmann

Pell Frischmann is a specialist advisory and technical consultancy operating across the built and natural environment. We help shape better futures for communities by providing consultancy services to public and private‑sector clients across buildings, infrastructure and regeneration. Founded in 1926, we combine commercial awareness, sustainable aspirations and innovative solutions to tackle global pollution and climate change. We are part of RSBG SE, the patient capital arm of RAG‑Stiftung, and our work supports RAG‑Stiftung’s mission to fund sustainable projects.

About The Role

This role is based with our Land Development team in Nottingham and will start September 2026 (or around that time). As a Graduate Transport Planner you will support private development projects across the UK, working alongside experienced consultants and engineers on planning and design tasks, including:

  • Preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Access Strategies
  • Supporting junction modelling and feasibility studies
  • Contributing to masterplans and development layouts
  • Assisting with stakeholder engagement with local authorities and clients
  • Analysing data, producing clear reports and presenting findings to the team

This opportunity offers exposure to the full development lifecycle – from early concept to planning submission and beyond. To see examples of the type of work you could be involved with, view our recent project at https://pellfrischmann.com/our-work/merton-regeneration/.

What We Offer

  • 2–3 Year Graduate Development Programme designed to accelerate your professional growth with technical training, mentoring and support for chartership attributes (e.g., CIHT, ICE, TPS)
  • Prime central Nottingham office for convenient commuting
  • Project variety and responsibility – work on high‑profile, real‑world schemes from day one
  • Supportive, collaborative team culture that values curiosity, creativity and continuous learning

About You

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Interest in development planning, sustainable transport and city design
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, problem‑solving mindset

Right To Work Requirements

We cannot provide visa sponsorship due to salary thresholds. Applicants must already have an existing, unrestricted right to work in the UK for the full duration of our 2–3 year graduate programme (until July 2029).

Why Pell Frischmann?

We are one of the UK’s most respected firms in infrastructure and built environment, offering a collaborative and supportive working environment that empowers you to create your own pathway and make a real impact. We support your ongoing personal and professional development so you can reach your full potential.
