Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced JDE World Technical Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of JD Edwards World ERP applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in RPG programming, JDE World toolset, and a deep understanding of business processes across various modules.

Your role

JDE World technical Consultant role is responsible for technical development, customization, and support of JD Edwards World ERP applications. This role involves working within the IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment, using RPG and CL programming languages to deliver solutions that meet business needs across various functional areas. You will need to anchor the engagement effort for assignments, from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development, and deployment. You will be pivotal to problem definition, discovery of overall solution, and guide teams on project processes and deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews, shaping value‑adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Responsibilities

• At least 10 years of Information Technology experience.
• 8+ years of experience in JDE World with RPG/CL coding program knowledge/skill set as a technical consultant.
• Knowledge of RPG400, CL400, RPGILE languages and familiarity with RDBMS, DB2/400, and OS400 concepts.
• Strong in developing applications and reports using JDE World tools.
• Experience with SVR, SDA, RDA, FTP, Dream Writer & Work Query report‑writing tools of World soft.
• Knowledge of JDE World architecture and data structures.
• Retrofitting standard and customized programs to facilitate business needs.
• Creation of new programs as per client requirements.
• Modification of standard and customized programs based on requests.
• Proficient in functional areas such as finance, sales, and distribution.
• Bug fixing in customized programs.
• Responsible for development and retrofitting of batch and interactive application.

Required

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a JDE World technical consultant.

• Excellent planner for release planning and delivery planning.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment; ability to manage complex work within tight deadlines; strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong ability to develop/groom a team of consultants/developers for an engagement and work in an onsite‑offshore team environment.
• Strong customer orientation and ability to build strategic perspectives.
• Nice to have experience with XML parsing, FTP, job scheduling.
