Clinical Lead Nurse – Competency Assurance & Training Lead

Join to apply for the Clinical Lead Nurse – Competency Assurance & Training Lead role at Paragon Home Healthcare

Are you a passionate and experienced nurse looking to take the next step in your career? Join Paragon Home Healthcare, a nurse‑led, award‑winning provider of complex homecare, and help shape the standards of care that truly change lives.

Role: Clinical Lead Nurse

Location: Richmond Head Office & Client Homes

Employment: Full‑time, Permanent

Salary: £45,000 per annum

About the Role

As our Clinical Lead Nurse, you’ll provide professional nursing leadership and clinical expertise across our homecare services, supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries and complex needs to live independently at home.

You’ll lead on clinical training, supervision and quality assurance — ensuring that all care delivery meets CQC, NMC, NICE, and Skills for Care standards.

Working closely with our Director of Nursing & Clinical Governance, and other members of the Clinical team, you’ll guide and mentor Care Managers and Care teams, validate clinical procedures, and ensure the highest standards of safety and compassion.

This role involves regular travel to conduct supervisions and clinical training in clients’ homes, ensuring best practice is maintained across the field.

You’ll also participate in our on‑call rota, which means being available to accept calls during evenings and weekends for one week (Wednesday to Wednesday) approximately every seven weeks, for which time off in lieu is offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visible nursing leadership and clinical oversight across homecare services
  • Develop, review, and validate clinical procedures and competency frameworks
  • Deliver and assess advanced clinical skills training (e.g. tracheostomy, ventilation, enteral feeding)
  • Lead audits, governance reviews, and clinical quality assurance
  • Support safeguarding, medication governance, and infection control
  • Conduct clinical supervisions and training visits in clients’ homes
  • Mentor and support Care Managers, Supervisors, and Registered Nurses
  • Participate in the on‑call rota as part of the wider Clinical Team
  • Deputise for the Director of Nursing when required in governance matters

About You

You’re a confident and compassionate Registered Nurse (Adult) with a strong background in community or complex care. You thrive on ensuring high standards and empowering others through leadership and training.

You’ll bring:

  • NMC Registration (Adult)
  • Significant post‑registration experience in community or complex care
  • Proven ability to lead clinical training and supervision
  • Strong understanding of CQC, NMC, NICE, and Safeguarding frameworks
  • Excellent communication, mentorship, and organisational skills
  • A full UK driving licence and confidence travelling to client homes
  • A proactive, accountable, and team‑focused approach

What We Offer

At Paragon, we care for our staff as much as we care for our clients. You’ll enjoy:

  • Competitive salary
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Pension scheme
  • Cycle‑to‑Work scheme
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Flexible working options (office, field, and some home‑based)
  • The opportunity to work within a respected, nurse‑led organisation recognised by the Spinal Injuries Association

About Paragon Home Healthcare

We are proud to be the trusted homecare provider for individuals with spinal cord injuries and complex needs, recognised for delivering safe, compassionate, and person‑centred care.

At Paragon, our mission is simple — to help people live independently and in dignity in their own homes.

Apply today and take the lead in shaping the future of complex, nurse‑led homecare as a Clinical Lead Nurse with Paragon Home Healthcare.
