Job description

We are looking for a creative and passionate Computing Teacher to join our dynamic team in Lichfield. The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in technology and computing, and the ability to inspire students at KS3-KS5 levels to explore the world of computing and develop essential digital skills. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Computing across KS3 and KS5, covering topics from programming and data analysis to web development and digital literacy. Design and implement a curriculum that aligns with national standards and fosters a passion for technology and innovation. Assess and monitor student progress through both formative and summative assessments. Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding and achieve their full potential. Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and fosters problem-solving skills. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, support departmental goals, and engage in ongoing professional development. Keep parents and guardians informed of students’ progress and maintain open lines of communication with the wider school community. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Computing, Computer Science, or a related field. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). Experience teaching Computing at KS3 and KS5, with a passion for inspiring students in the field of technology. A strong understanding of current computing and IT practices, including knowledge of programming languages and digital tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for teaching and the ability to make computing accessible and engaging for all students. Skills and Attributes: Committed to fostering student success and engagement through innovative teaching methods. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Creative in lesson planning, with a focus on interactive and hands-on learning experiences. Collaborative and willing to contribute to team success.
