Job description
A thriving Good-rated secondary school in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their ambitious Science department for an immediate start . This is a full-time and permanent position, ideal for a passionate and reflective teacher who is committed to high-quality Science education and ready to contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking school. About the Role You will teach Science across KS3–KS4 , delivering high-quality lessons that develop curiosity, confidence, and scientific reasoning. The department follows a structured, well-sequenced curriculum that supports teachers in maintaining clarity and consistency while still allowing space for creativity and independent teaching style. Practical Science is central to learning in this department. You will have access to: Modern, well-maintained laboratories A full-time Science technician Strong practical resources Demonstration materials and updated Science apparatus You will work closely with friendly colleagues who share planning, moderate assessment, and collaborate on practical demonstrations to ensure lessons remain lively, engaging, and academically robust. School Information This school has earned a strong reputation for its excellent pastoral care, calm atmosphere, and consistent behaviour systems . Staff describe the leadership team as approachable, visible, and genuinely supportive.
