Job description
SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Westminster Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Long-term Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Wayman Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive Primary School in Westminster . This is a long-term position supporting a pupil with additional learning needs who may occasionally display challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be patient, understanding, and committed to helping young learners reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. If you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, we’d love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference in a student’s day-to-day school experience. What the role involves: Providing one-to-one support to a student with special educational needs, helping them stay engaged and feel supported in lessons. Building positive relationships to encourage confidence, independence, and progress. Supporting the class teacher with daily activities and maintaining a calm, inclusive classroom. Demonstrates understanding of various needs from mild to complex Following detailed EHCPs and working closely with the SENCO Work across EYFS to KS2 Previous experience working with SEND pupils or provisions (in schools or a similar setting). A calm and patient approach with the ability to build trust and rapport. The right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
