Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Mathematics Teacher to join our excellent school community in Lichfield. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics, a commitment to delivering high-quality lessons, and the ability to inspire students at KS3, KS4, and KS5 to reach their academic potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and innovative mathematics lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5, focusing on fostering a deep understanding of mathematical principles. Develop and implement a mathematics curriculum that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and application of mathematical concepts in real-life situations. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, offering constructive feedback to enhance learning. Create a positive, inclusive, and challenging classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success. Collaborate with colleagues in the mathematics department to share best practices, contribute to departmental goals, and participate in continuous professional development. Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about student progress and school events. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Mathematics or a related field. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). Proven experience teaching mathematics at KS3, KS4, and KS5 level. Strong understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to teach a wide range of mathematical topics including algebra, geometry, and statistics. Skills and Attributes: Passionate about teaching and dedicated to helping students succeed in mathematics. Creative, innovative, and engaging in lesson planning and delivery.
