The home provides specialist Nursing, Dementia and Complex Care for up to 42 residents in a safe and supportive environment focused on dignity, wellbeing and person centred care. *Senior Care Assistant Contract* * 13.21 - 13.71 per hour, depending on experience and medication training * Full time and Part time contracts available * Day shifts : 8 : 00 AM to 8 : 00 PM (30 minute unpaid break and two 15 minute paid breaks) * Night shifts : 8 : 00 PM to 8 : 00 AM (1 hour paid break) * Alternate weekends required * Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided * 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) *Role Overview* As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality, person centred care for individuals with complex needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions and other long term health challenges. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered safely within a structured and supportive environment.
Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes, including behaviours or complex needs. Working closely with the wider team, you will support and guide Care Assistants, helping to maintain a calm, stable and consistent environment.
You will follow and review care plans, ensure accurate record keeping and contribute to effective communication with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals.
