Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live In Care Professional to join our team in Shoreham, Kent. As a Live In Care Professional, you will provide essential support and companionship to a elderly client requiring general support within their home. You will be required to enhance their quality of life and help them maintain their independence.

  • Live in the client's home, providing round-the-clock care and support
  • Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
  • Accompany clients to appointments, social events, and outings
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers as needed
  • Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and client's condition
  • Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Organise and participate in stimulating activities tailored to the client's interests and abilities
  • Assist with pet care when required
  • Manage household tasks such as laundry, shopping, and running errands

Salary

  • £125.00-£135.00 daily rate
  • Additional £8.00 per day food allowance
  • Flexible rotas which can be negotiated
  • Full milage paid when using car for client purposes

Qualifications

  • Genuine passion for caring for others, with a friendly and empathetic demeanour
  • Previous experience in caring or a related field (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in cooking skills
  • Proficiency in personal care techniques and light housekeeping
  • Physical capability to assist with mobility and transfers
  • Understanding of medication management and administration
  • Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care (preferred)
  • Ability to maintain a professional and supportive attitude in challenging situations
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules
  • Excellent observation and reporting skills
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes
  • Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check (repaid after 3 months' service)
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom

Additional Information

As a Live In Care Professional, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
