Overview

The School of Computer Science within the Faculty of Science & Engineering is seeking to appoint one Lecturer in AI and Animal Biometrics on a fixed-term basis. The appointee will be expected to conduct world-class research in AI for Animal Biometrics and teach in programming in C and / or Python, advanced topics in AI, as well as supervise projects and coach students.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality research in AI for Animal Biometrics (or closely related areas).
• Teach modules in programming in C and / or Python and in advanced topics in AI.
• Provide project supervision and coaching to student teams.
• Deliver engaging undergraduate teaching and contribute to Undergraduate programmes in Computer Science.
• Contribute to the activities of the Computer Vision for Animal Biometrics aspects of the MaVi research group and be an active and effective citizen of the School and Faculty.
