Job description

About us:
Wifinity was founded in 2007 to solve a problem—our armed forces were struggling with reliable connectivity. While living in barracks, often in remote locations, ordering a landline and booking in an engineer just wasn’t an option.

And that problem isn’t exclusive to the military, either. Students living in University accommodation, families visiting holiday resorts, or living in shared accommodation and retirement communities.

Conventional home broadband doesn’t always work for them.

Wifinity is different. We offer the same benefits as traditional broadband, such as super-fast speeds, WiFi, and secure and private networks, but none of the downsides. We even offer Pay As You Go and flexible contracts, so customers only pay for what they need without hefty penalties or long contract terms.

We take the complexity out of connectivity.

The opportunity:
This is a field-based auditing role, which also has key focus on the development of the management system. You will promote and support a positive Health and Safety culture by delivering SHEQ programmes and frameworks across our projects. Act as a subject matter expert, auditing and advising stakeholders to ensure compliance and continual improvement.

Key areas of focus:
Joining our Health and Safety team you will be responsible for liaising with and auditing our team members and subcontractors across various sectors.

Your day-to-day role will consist of the following responsibilities, you may be required to carry out further responsibilities at the company's discretion.

  • Plan and undertake audits and inspections to ensure compliance with legal and client requirements.
  • Identify trends and provide advice for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver Toolbox Talks based on audit findings.
  • Maintain audit records and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Assist in investigations related to health, safety, and environmental issues.
  • Act as a SHEQ subject matter expert with strong knowledge of legislation and best practice.
  • Develop and review RAMS for operations.
  • Support management system development and accreditations.

About you:
You will be a Health and Safety Professional with the ability to communicate and influence positive change. You are excellent at working with people and always strive to provide a customer driven approach. We are looking for someone that has:

  • A drivers License
  • Ability to gain Security Clearance
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence positive safety behaviours
  • Strong prioritisation and self-management skills

Your experience:

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience of working in the field as a Health and Safety/SHEQ Advisor within construction disciplines inclusive of work at height, asbestos (flexible) and manual handling.
  • Experience in the development of RAMS to support the above elements of construction activities.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in delivering across the health, safety and environmental spectrum

It would be nice to also have, but not essential:

  • Experience in the telecommunications sector or similar
  • Experience developing/delivering cultural change programmes
  • Security Clearance

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package which includes an ‘Annual Leave Buy & Sell Scheme’, in addition to a remote first working environment, allowing our employees more flexibility when it comes to the importance of a healthy work / life balance. Please be aware that the successful applicant to this role will receive an offer which is subject to the satisfactory completion of a basic level DBS check.
