Job description

Senior Care Assistant/Team Leader

Contract: Full Time – Perm

Hour: 30 – 37 hours per week

Pay: £15.55 per hour weekdays & £16.55 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 7.30am to 2.30pm/2.30pm to 9.30pm – Weekdays and alternative Weekends

Location: 1 Beane River View, Port Vale, Hertford, SG14 3UD

We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our welcoming Care Home Beane River View nestled in the beautiful market town of Hertford. Beane River View is a quiet 40 bed residential care home surrounded by its beautiful tranquil gardens, offering a warm, welcoming environment where dedicated professionals can make a genuine difference every day.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead with compassion, inspire the team and make a real difference every day. Turn your passion for care into leadership and help create exceptional moments for residents every day.

What You’ll Bring

  • Essential to hold a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
  • Desirable to hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Or willingness to work towards).
  • You must have substantial experience of working with older people in a residential care setting and a real passion for leading and delivering outstanding care to our residents.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Taking a leadership role on a designated unit.
  • Reviewing and updating care plans.
  • Giving personal care to residents.
  • Administering medication and ensuring that social activities are provided during each shift
