Our tailored approach means we can support young people with a wide range of learning difficulties. We accept that young people who are referred to us may have previously experienced a ‘cycle of failure’ and our aim is to have a transformational impact on their lives by them experiencing a ‘culture of success’. We are almost at capacity with 100 places for pupils in year 3 through to sixth form. Pupils at Sedgemoor are autistic and are being supported in working towards overcoming various challenges. The staff, curriculum, site and experiences here enable them to thrive and achieve excellent accreditation. Many pupils go onto college and university.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student learning and well-being
  • Manage classroom behaviour in a manner that promotes self-discipline and respect among pupils
  • Participate in professional development, and school events
  • Engage with school policies and contribute to a positive school ethos
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, ensuring all pupils receive personalized feedback to support their learning journey
  • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Work cohesively with key workers and the in-house therapeutic team to follow care plans and assist in creating educational schemes of work.
  • Provide the highest standards of professional practice and safeguarding.

You will be required to carry out the professional duties covered by the latest School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
